Shifts Needed Per Month: 6-12 minimum
Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to join our dedicated team in Columbia City, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive hospital environment!

Position Overview: You will have the flexibility to choose between 6-15 shifts a month with schedules posted a year in advance. Your individualized schedule will be created with your input, ensuring a balance between your professional and personal needs.

Work Details:

Support Staff: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Hospitalist Coverage: 24-hour coverage for admissions
Radiology Services: 24-hour real-time reading of all studies; in-house X-ray and CT with ultrasound on call at night
Patients Per Day: 30-50, depending on location
Annual Volume: Average of 10,000-23,000 visits per emergency department
Trauma Level: All locations are Level II
Patient Population: All ages
EMR System: EPIC

Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple patients with both serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries.
Perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments as needed to resuscitate or stabilize patients.
Refer patients to the appropriate medical departments.
Practice Setting: Hospital (credentialing at 6 locations with one credentialing process)

Available Shift Times:

Day Shifts: 6 AM – 6 PM or 7 AM – 7 PM
Night Shifts: 6 PM – 6 AM or 7 PM – 6 AM
