This position involves a 24-hour call schedule from 7 AM to 7 AM. Required procedures include adult and trauma general surgical cases, laser certification, chest wall/pleural procedures, central line insertion, PA catheter placement, ventilation management, and chest tube insertion. Additional procedures include aneurysm repairs, abdominal and peripheral vascular access, AV shunts, cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication, hernioplasty, and both upper and lower endoscopies, including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.
