Location: A historic city located in the southeastern part of the state, near the Appomattox River. 30 minutes outside of the city of Richmond, Virginia! Facility: Community health care provider, a 300-bed facility located on a 50-acre campus with nearly 400 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. Opportunity: Looking for General Surgeon locum coverage starting February 2025 + on-going! Open Dates: Feb 3-1, April 21-28, May 12-19, June 2-9, July 14-21 Shift(s) Description:(5) 24hr shifts per month No call! Practice Setting: Hospital base / 4 hours clinical Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: based on patients coming into the ER. Trauma Level/Designation: III Documentation System/EMR: EPIC Number of Operating Rooms: 9 Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 4 Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Required Procedures: General Surgical Cases ADULT General Surgical Cases TRAUMA Laser Certification Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures Central Line Insertion PA Catheter Placement Ventilation Management Chest Tube Insertion Aneurysm repairs Abdominal, Peripheral, Vascular Access Devices AV Shunt Cholecystectomy Nissen Fundoplication Hernioplasty Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy & Colonoscopy Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
